This Privacy Policy explains what personal information VueFi LLC collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it when you use vuefi.com and VueFi Insights. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
We collect only what we need to run the Service: account information (your email, name, and a hashed password — we never see passwords in plain text); billing information (your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan, and billing history — payment card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers); usage data (which pages you view, which features you use, timestamps); device and technical data (IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, referrer URL); and support communications (emails you send us and our responses). We also record product-usage events (such as pages viewed, sign-ups, and subscription activity) to measure unique visitors and understand how the Service is used. We do not collect sensitive information like government IDs, health data, or financial account numbers.
We use your information to: provide and operate the Service (create your account, authenticate you, show you analyses); handle billing and subscriptions through Stripe; send service-related emails (receipts, renewal reminders, and security or account notices); provide customer support; improve the Service — understand what features are used, fix bugs, plan roadmap; detect fraud, abuse, and security issues; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your personal information to train AI models, and we do not send your personal information to any AI provider as part of our analysis prompts.
We do not sell or "share" (as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA) your personal information. We do not rent your data to advertisers.
Account data is kept while your account is active, then deleted within a reasonable period after account closure. Billing records are retained for up to 7 years to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Support emails are retained up to 2 years after our last exchange. Backups and logs may persist for a short additional period in rolling backups before being overwritten. Where the law requires longer retention, we keep data as long as required.
No matter where you live, you can ask us to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your account and personal information (subject to legal retention requirements); export your data in a portable format; or opt out of non-essential emails (you cannot opt out of service-critical emails while you have an account). To make a request, email support@vuefi.com from the email address on your account. We will respond within 45 days. US residents covered by state privacy laws (California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others) have these same rights and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. UK residents have equivalent rights under UK GDPR.
We use industry-standard security measures: encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for databases, hashed passwords, access controls, and monitored infrastructure. No online service is 100% secure. If we learn of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law.
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email support@vuefi.com and we will delete it.
VueFi is based in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA/CPRA"), gives you the following rights with respect to the personal information we hold about you: (1) the right to know what personal information we have collected, the sources we collected it from, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it; (2) the right to access a portable copy of your personal information; (3) the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information; (4) the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions; (5) the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA); (6) the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and (7) the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of your privacy rights. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not engage in "sale" or "sharing" as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, there is no sale or sharing to opt out of today. If our practices ever change and we begin selling or sharing personal information, we will update this Privacy Policy, add a dedicated preference center, and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out request at that time. To exercise any right, email privacy@vuefi.com or support@vuefi.com from the email address on your account. We will respond within 45 days (extendable once by 45 additional days with notice). We will verify your request using account email and, if necessary, additional authentication steps proportionate to the sensitivity of the request. You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf with verifiable written permission. Categories of personal information collected in the last 12 months and retention periods are listed in the "What we collect" and "How long we keep your data" sections above. Under California Civil Code §1798.83 (Shine the Light), California residents may request information about our disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes — we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
