This Privacy Policy explains what personal information VueFi Inc. collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it when you use vuefi.com and VueFi Insights. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
We collect only what we need to run the Service: account information (your email, name, and a hashed password — we never see passwords in plain text); billing information (your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan, and billing history — payment card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers); usage data (which pages you view, which features you use, timestamps); device and technical data (IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, referrer URL); and support communications (emails you send us and our responses). We do not collect sensitive information like government IDs, health data, or financial account numbers.
We use your information to: provide and operate the Service (create your account, authenticate you, show you analyses); handle billing and subscriptions through Stripe; send service-related emails (receipts, renewal reminders, security alerts, policy updates); provide customer support; improve the Service — understand what features are used, fix bugs, plan roadmap; detect fraud, abuse, and security issues; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your personal information to train AI models, and we do not send your personal information to any AI provider as part of our analysis prompts.
We share information only with service providers that help us run VueFi, each bound by their own privacy and security terms: Stripe (payment processing, subscription billing); our authentication provider (session management); Resend (transactional and account emails); Vercel (hosting); Neon (Postgres database hosting); and AI model providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, OpenRouter, and Perplexity (used to generate market analyses). We send market and financial data to AI providers to produce analyses — we do not include your personal information (email, name, IP, account ID) in those prompts. We may also share information if required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of users or the public; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (you will be notified).
We do not sell or "share" (as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA) your personal information. We do not rent your data to advertisers.
We use only what we need. Essential cookies power authentication sessions and keeping you logged in — these are required for the Service to work. We use basic usage analytics to understand product usage in aggregate; these do not track you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers.
Account data is kept while your account is active, then deleted within 30 days of account closure. Billing records are retained for up to 7 years to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Support emails are retained up to 2 years after our last exchange. Backups and logs may persist for a short additional period in rolling backups before being overwritten. Where the law requires longer retention, we keep data as long as required.
No matter where you live, you can ask us to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your account and personal information (subject to legal retention requirements); export your data in a portable format; or opt out of non-essential emails (you cannot opt out of service-critical emails while you have an account). To make a request, email support@vuefi.com from the email address on your account. We will respond within 30 days. US residents covered by state privacy laws (California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others) have these same rights and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. UK residents have equivalent rights under UK GDPR.
We use industry-standard security measures: encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for databases, hashed passwords, access controls, and monitored infrastructure. No online service is 100% secure. If we learn of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law.
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email support@vuefi.com and we will delete it.
VueFi is based in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will email you and post a notice in the app at least 30 days before the changes take effect. For non-material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
